Once play resumed the D-backs came back and took the lead only for Todd Helton to launch a 2-out 2-run walk-off home run off of JJ Putz. That win would put me back into the positives for the season. Brian Wilson is likely to miss the season due to structural damage to his right elbow ligament. The Giants are being optimistic that a second opinion could give him a chance to return by the end of the season, but as it stands now he's likely going to require Tommy John surgery and be out for the remainder of this year. Jacoby Ellsbury isn't i! n nearly a dire strait as Wilson as his partially dislocated shoulder is still not confirmed to require surgery. Thus far the BoSox have simply placed last season's MVP candidate on the 15-day DL and will likely look at him on a month-to-month basis. Preliminary reports did state he could miss as much as six weeks. Hopefully today, no injuries will fall upon any teams and their hopes to make a push for October in addition to some solid play.
